The momentary layering and editing of thoughts in my subconsciousness and consciousness, of memories and experiences - is the way I manuever through each work. My path aims towards ridding of excess in order to guide me closer to the truth of that moment through the call and response of the materials used, as well as a continual pull towards relinquishment of a controlled, absolute plan. The broad range of topics that surface in my work attempt to spur commentary on aspects of our lives, such as: environmental and industrial juxtaposition, food politics, word play, natural disaster, sustainable and simplified living, maturation from young age to older age and relationships in community. Through these subjects, I seek a better understanding or our relationship with one another in this existance.
